Freestyle Diving

Freestyle high diving, döds and mini-tramp — three disciplines, one wild showcase

Three aerial disciplines collide in one showcase. Freestyle high divers throw technical tricks off the platform. Döds (death-diving) athletes spread-eagle into giant belly flops for maximum splash. Mini-tramp athletes launch off a trampoline before hitting the water, blending gymnastics with high diving. Produced by Extreme Vertigo Events in partnership with ACON Trampolines and the Freestyle Trampoline Association.

Venue: Tennessee River, Ross's Landing

Format: Showcase / exhibition — freestyle high diving, döds, and mini-tramp combined

THREE DISCIPLINES, ONE SHOWCASE

The events

Freestyle High Diving

Divers throw technical tricks — flips, twists and contorted shapes — off the high platform before splashdown.

Döds (Death-Diving)

Athletes hold a spread-eagle as long as they dare, then tuck at the last second for the biggest, loudest belly-flop splash.

Mini-Tramp

Athletes launch off a competition trampoline at the edge of the platform, blending gymnastics with high diving on the way down.
